I forgot, yes, I checked all my audio/video settings and have my RS422 cable hooked up properly.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Huh?

I’ve been option/dragging transitions to copy for years and it always works for me, same length, parameters, everything. Only reason the length would change is if there’s not enough handles.

    Have a wonderful day.

There a two filters in the stylize folder, one makes footage look like a high contrast sketch and the other colors it. I think they’re called line art and vectorize color.

    Aaron,

Normally, when you put 16×9 footage into a 4×3 timeline, FCP letterboxes it. A correction, you would not use the distort tab, you’d just scale the video up till the letterbox goes away, and the ends will get cropped. Sorry about that.

    Have a wonderful day.

You can easily use 720p footage in a 4×3 timeline, you have to force the aspect ratio in the distort tab. Regarding your degraded quality, how are you viewing it and is it rendered? You should be using a broadcast monitor to judge the quality.

    Have a wonderful day.

  • That deck has a nice little screen, but I doubt you can color correct on it as how would you calibrate it?

    Have a wonderful day.

I use Drive Genius about once a month, it is great. I use Leopard Cache Cleaner about once a week, and as a result, have very few problems.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Rafael,

Going by the numbers regarding a generation lost, that may be true, but my eyes can’t see it, and look at all the other benefits, re: color correction, effects and compositing. No brainer. FW to ProRes rocks.

    Have a wonderful day.
