Ya know, that’s a good question, but somewhere I recall hearing that the current version of FCP is not as persnickity as it used to be regarding sample rates.

    Have a wonderful day.

Last Fall this happened to me, I had to do a complete OS re-install. Sorry, hope you don’t have to.

I usually boost the audio with the gain filter. You also can do it in Peak and Soundtrack Pro.

You have to duplicate the NTSC DV setting and rename it, then go into it and change the setting.

Then set the sample rate of your project to 32K. Piece of cake.

    Hey Sean,

Regarding feeding a blue-filtered colorbar image:

    A. How would you do that?

    B. I recall talking about something like that in a thread last year, and someone said that wouldn’t work.

    Can you elaborate?

    Have a wonderful day.

Huh? FCP projects open in AE through the Duck. I’ve seen it done.

I didn’t see anyone here mention Episode Pro as an option. Formally known as Compression Master till it was bought by Telestream, it is not only a great encoder for DVDs but does a bazillion other formats as well. It cost about 800. BTW it does incredible standards conversion to PAL or NTSC direct to m2V in one step. Fantastic tool and great support from the Telestream folks.

    Have a wonderful day.

Ditto on scopes, but in AE I prefer Test Gear from Synthetic Aperture.

    Have a wonderful day.
