Flip4Mac will enable Windows output from your QuickTime, and it’s slow, but much cheaper than Cleaner.

Total Training is now doing FCP, probably very good, I have their After Effects DVDs and they’re excellent. You might look at the DMTS series at Magnet Media, lots of tutorials in here and at kenstone.net, Kevin Monihan’s, Jerry Hofman’s and Tom Wolsky’s books, also the Quick Start by Lisa Brenneis.

If you want to do this yourself, Soundtracks Pro is great. It comes with thousands of SFX and you can buy more online.

The Pro version of ZI has a pretty darn good text engine with kerning and all.
Also, check out Kinemac if you’re on a G5, an amazing real-time 3D program that’s only 250 bucks. Great text tools in there too. wwwikinemac.com

At the very top of the filters is an option for 24 or 30. I use the latter and it looks great. Not choppy at all.

Although I am using v5 I used to do this all the time in 4.5 and never had a problem. I always use straight alphas. Check your quality settings coming out of AE.

There are so many good still cameras, but I am very pleased with my Nikon 5700 CoolPix. Mostly I use it to capture stills as opposed to using a scanner, as it is very fast and the quality is excellent.
I especiall like the fold-out LCD, and I’m sure you would too in a production environment.
