    Good morning all,

I will be teaching a college video production class in the Spring. Their edit systems are FCP 2 or 3 I believe.

My NLE experience is with Discreet and Premiere Pro.

How would you suggest I get up to speed on FCP? Training class? DVD training? Read the book?

    Thanks in advance.

Total Training is now doing FCP, probably very good, I have their After Effects DVDs and they’re excellent. You might look at the DMTS series at Magnet Media, lots of tutorials in here and at kenstone.net, Kevin Monihan’s, Jerry Hofman’s and Tom Wolsky’s books, also the Quick Start by Lisa Brenneis.

    Have a wonderful day.

I also migrated from Premiere Pro. I highly recommend the DMTS trainings. Final Cut is pretty easy to pick up if you already know Premiere Pro.
