My market is about the same size as yours. This may sound like oversimplification but you might start with the $1000 per minute rule. At my hourly rate that would cover about 3-4 weeks, and it is close to what my long form projects usually come to.
Another way is to secure a day or week rate, base it on x number of days or weeks and get them to approve overages up front. As suggested, you can probably get Seattle rates in the Business Forum or online somewhere.

In the viewer, you will see a line through the waveform for levels. Add keyframes with option click. Do the same to an aucio track in the timeline. Open the audio mixer from the tools menu, lots more finesse with adjustments with that. Levels depend on what your final destination is to a great extent. A ballpark total mix of -12 db ain’t a bad starting point.

Amen to that last comment, there’s a guy here a couple of weeks ago who’s using a Westinghouse 37″ LCD as his main monitor, swears buy it. Then there’s Dell and Sceptre, prices are much lower than Apple.
Size is up to you and how you work. I use a 23″ Mac for my main and a 19″ Samsung for my bins and such, but even that is feeling a little cramped sometines.

Conduit is node based, but pretty easy to grasp, but what to look for is the demo movie on keying DV footage with it, here:

It is remarkable, and comes from the same folks who brought us DVmattePro. (not a bad answer for you either!)
BTW the subject in their demo is a talking head who shakes her hands in the shot, so it should be just what you need.

Boris Continuum Complete has some cool time filters and I think CMG and/or CHV have some also, then there is Echo and some others in AE and probably other compositing apps as well

If the client understands the multicamera approach, and that could be a big IF, give them a dub with time code that also has a lable on the footage, camera A, B, C.
If they don’t get it, then I would tell them that a rough cut was the next logical step, and if the found anything wrong with that, then you could spin through the reels for options.

Now that you mention it, the Boris interface is my least favorite of all, but I do get good quality out of Title 3D.
