    [Bob Woodhead] “multiple workspaces”

This is a big one for me.

Nice Boris review. I use it all the time, though mostly RED/Avid FX, these days.

    Hey Daniel!

How’s it going? Thanks for the reply. It really helps in that, from reading you description, I know there’s something slightly wrong with my account. So, I’ll calm down and get it worked out next week.

    Thanks!

[John Pale] “Call Avid. They will help you. You are entitled to support with your purchase. The Cow should not be where you go first.”

Now, now. Who wants to use their one call on a silly installation issue. Besides, I like seeing who else is having my problem, so I think the Cow’s a good place to go with this kind of issue.

  • [Oliver Peters] “IMHO audio functionality for doing real mixes is a LOT better in PProCC.”

The Sends capabilities in PPro ARE pretty impressive for an NLE. Also, clip and track mixers both functioning simultaneously. It’s pretty cool.

  • [Jeremy Garchow] “And apparently, I really, like the overuse, of the comma. It’s highly, satisfying.”

Would this make you a comma, comma, comma chameleon?

  • [Andrew Kimery] “These days it’s insanely cheaper to create content, which means everyone and their brother is doing it, so the hard part is standing out in a sea of similar faces. Self distribution to a global audience is easy peasy but getting noticed and monetizing your content is harder than ever.”

That’s the heart of it right there. To be able to see and be seen you need a tower. Ancient idea. My favorite extrapolation of it is in the Confucianist interpretations of the I Ching. Its also beautifully detailed in Kurosawa’s High and Low.

Media conglomerates provide a tower. Louie CK can sell his video online, but only because so many people have seen him on the tower.

I’m powering it and a Dell 2K off my Macbook Pro. And been able to use the Macbook Pro screen. Pretty cool.

But its a concept car, right? So they might build it. Its basically an extended CRZ. I’m pretty sure the engine sounds are CRZ. Night is Sport Mode. Day is regular.

November 2, 2014 at 7:33 pm in reply to: Is FCPX development slower than you’d like?

[Steve Connor] “Considering how fast Resolve and PPro are evolving, I have to say I’m a little disappointed that the pace of FCPX development seems to be slowing. I know Bill will say it’s great as it is and that is true in some respects, but if I’m honest I thought that we’d see a lot more features added.”

Just another way they are copying Avid.
