  • As soon as i posted, I then thought of a solution.

Rendering as low res image sequence files will help, as it will stop rendering when it reaches the corrupt frame.

    Thanks Joe.

One of my very first DVD jobs back in 2005 was a series of 5 DVDs and 200 of each for a karate series i had filmed. My client had presold 82 series’ and I had a reputable company burn these discs. 50% of them failed to play on his customers DVD players. Not wanting to upset my client anymore, i instead paid out of my own pocket for this series to be replicated and upon their return, played flawlessly in each DVD player.

I understand from that experience that commercial dvds (single layer or dual layer) will play fine, but i always fear another mishap from self burned dvds. Having never burned a dual layer from Encore, I wanted to make sure that people like yourself, have had good success

    Thanks a lot

Thanks for your response. My machine is capable of DL burning.

Of particular interest is in the ability of these DL discs to play on a variety of dvd players? I would hate to give it to a client and learn that it wont work.

    Thanks again for your feedback

    Anybody?

I’m after successful occurrences as these forums are generally for people who have problems.

    Thanks

  • I should have also mentioned that I am using particular parented to a null with a wiggle expression attached to it for the vertical motion. Its giving me some “ok” results but wanted to see if there was another way perhaps with a sin expression.

    Thanks a lot

    Thank you so much Xavier.

I have tried this and am coming across a slight issue. The Pace value that this expression is converting from, is a random expression on a separate layer. I thought i would be able to pick whip the “source text” of this layer and plug it in to your expression, but it appears that I can not not do that.

Would you know how i can get the expressed value of another layer and plug it into your expression?

Thanks again for your help in this.

    Thanks Xavier for your reply.

Would this be the full expression or just the decimal to seconds? I have pasted what you have given me, but as Im rusty with expressions, Im not sure how to write the entire expression.

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Dan

For the fades, lets start with 150 pixels either side of the final positions:

    Circle 1: 0,568
    Fade out/in: -150, 568

    Circle 2: -640,568
    Fade in/out: -790,568
    Fade in/out: -490, 568

    Circle 3: -1280, 568
    Fade in/out: -1130,568
    Fade in/out: -1430, 568

I can amend the expression with further circle co-ordinates.

    Thanks very much Dan
