  • Any ideas on how to find my corrupt frame which is crashing my renders?

    Hi guys

I have captured 10 VHS tapes in the last week, each being 3 hours or longer.

I have exported them all out to encoder and 7 of them are failing because of a corrupt frame. Of the 7, i have found 5 of them early in the timeline, however 2 of them are much later.

I do not have the time to sit and watch these tapes for the corrupt flash frame or two and hoped anyone could suggest a solution.

Im exporting from DV to h264 if this makes any difference.

I have checked the log from encoder and it only tells me how long it has been encoding for and not the frame number it failed at.

    Thanks a lot

As soon as i posted, I then thought of a solution.

Rendering as low res image sequence files will help, as it will stop rendering when it reaches the corrupt frame.
