Thank you Adam. That has done the trick.

I really appreciate not just this help, but each and every time you give me advice.

    Thanks so much.

    Hi Adam

Yes, I am using just the physical renderer

Here is just the bit with the issue. As mentioned, R15 works fine with this model.

Im working with C4D R17 and have asked a friend to take a look with his version. He is on R15 and the problem does not occur for him when he opens my project.

Would anyone know what this could suggest?

    Thanks a lot

    Thanks Adam. Will do.

It was an obj file that i asked for. Am i missing something?

I was presented with a number of import options when i opened it. Would these settings help any before i go back to him?

    Thanks for your reply Adam.

There is no Normals tag attached. Only Phong and UVW.

To be honest, I would not really know what to do to fix the model in C4D. Would i be best asking the model creator to give it to me in a higher mesh setting. Ive been told he has done it in Rhino.

    Thanks
    Chris

  • Thank you so much Brian. That is exactly what i was after.

  • I had not thought about doing it that way. I guess it was because i have been playing around with different metal textures as opposed to using the colours from the logo.

Thanks Adam. That’s what I ended up doing.

    Thanks for your help.

  • When you say single model, do you mean like a glass bottle? I have a Microphone object which needs a variety of different textures applied to it.

Once the model is complete, i dont need to change it, so i guess i would not need the plugin again. So if i asked my modeller to save out an obj file with the same mesh settings for Nurbs, I will still get all the control i need to texture individual parts.

Im still new to 3D and learning each day.

    Thanks Adam
