I would have just used Final Cut Pro to do that, but
good to know it can be done properly through Premiere. -
No, for the reasons you stated and most of my projects
get into well over 100gb range. It would take too long
to be practical for me. -
That might work.
What I know does definitely work and I’ve done it lots of times
is to make a new 29.97 sequence (sequences cannot be changed once made)go back to the 23.976 sequence, select all, copy then paste
into the 29.97 then encode with AME. That will add the pulldown -
I never use it either.
Just import my card files after duping them to the array and get to cutting.

agreed, no need for an external generator for monitoring.
I monitor 24 frame often. The card just switches the monitor
to the 48hz mode. -

Having an odd issue with black levels, but only
on SD analog output. -
Just for the heck of it, have you tried installing
the log and transfer xdcam software from sony?Maybe it will do something to make premiere happy to do its job.

upon further testing, if I put the SD Bars in a timeline, then add a 3-way color corrector
and add a value of 7 to the black levels, the bars then show the super black pluge.This doesn’t solve the problem, but proves the card is somehow crushing
the super black. I do have 7.5 IRE level set in the control panel.Any suggestions?

Ya I don’t think that will work for quicktime files.
Works only for things like encoding mpeg.
Is there a particular reason you need to transcode them and
not edit natively? -
that sounds familiar like in final cut pro when you don’t indicate
the in point timecode for where the layback begins.Sounds like you might be missing a step.
