    Hi guys,

    My setup:
    Mac Pro
    OSX 10.7.5
    Premier Pro CS6
    Multibridge Pro
    Sony DVW-M2000P

my DVW-M2000P Digital Betacam deck is connected to Blackmagic Multibridge Pro, I am having problems exporting to tape in Adobe Premier Pro CS6. I can capture from the deck however I just can’t export to tape. It just can’t sync with the time code.

I have connected to Multibridge Pro:
SDI out 1 & 2 (Deck) to SDI in 1 & 2 (Multibridge) and vice versa
Remote 1 (deck) to RS422 port (Multibridge)

Can one of you experts advice me on what I am doing wrong, or how I should set up the time code so Premiere Pro and the deck sync.

    Thanks in advance
    David

I know some folks have had difficulty with that and instead
use the free black magic capture/output utility to layback to tape.

You might check out Walter Biscardi’s site. I think he has had success outputing to tape using BM hardware. Come to think of it , it was to a HD deck.

    thanks Chris and Tom

I tried using Blackmagic Media Express, again I am capable of capturing from my deck but when I want to export to tape after 10 seconds I get a message saying “the in point could not be located”
I wonder if I have the wrong setting on my Digital Betacam deck! Sorry I am a novice and any help is very much appreciated. thanks

that sounds familiar like in final cut pro when you don’t indicate
the in point timecode for where the layback begins.

Sounds like you might be missing a step.

Hi Chris, you were right, I was missing a BIG something 🙂
Basically I had to strip the blank tape before exporting to tape.
So I recorded black video for about a minute then reset the TC on the deck and all problems solved. I was then able to export to my deck.
    thanks
