True, but sometimes thats a pain in the rump to do and you don’t
quite get the result when adusting the frame held clip.

But ya, it’s faster that way then exporting a still.

Ya Matt I noticed that too.

I had a cs 6 project I opened in CC, saved it and
went from 20mb to 400k.

Seems like Adobe fixed some of the bloat with the
project files.

Thanks Walter, is that how yours is setup?

Keith at AJA was helping me resolve some audio issues
and indicated the mac preferences audio out had to be
set to Internal speakers, Built-In.

Kona plays out to my console and not the speakers,
but something like youtube or quicktime does play to
the speakers.

Most definitely.

I was just commenting to someone how great it is that I can
play an unrendered sequence and it plays audio in sync
without having to stop and restart playback.

That was a problem I had with cs 5.5 and 6 and never
got solved until now.

Well, as usual AJA support fixed me right up within 15 minutes
of emailing them.

Here’s the proper settings in case anyone else needs it.
(I was a little confused by the install instructions)

System preferences, Sound:

INPUT: Line in, Audio Line-in port

OUTPUT: Internal speakers, Built-In

Premiere Preferences:

Audio Hardware:
adobe desktop audio: built-in output
buffer size: 1024
output mapping: AJA Kona3G – 0, Slot 2

Playback:
Audio Device: AJA Kona3G – 0, Slot 2
Video Device: AJA Kona3G – 0, Slot 2 (checked)

all they really did was break the dynamic link from premiere, by not
updated Encore.

no biggie for the stuff i do. I prefer to encode seperately anyway.

darn, I’d hoped they’d addressed that in this version (making it more like fcp).
I too need a duration of still often.
