Premiere Pro CC Project File Size
Just an observation
I had a small project that I started in Premiere Pro 5.5 and it was about 13MB in size.
When I opened this project up in Premiere Pro 6 it stated off the same size but grew to about 17MB due to some additional work I performed in the project.
Now when I open the same project in Premiere Pro CC it ends up being about 723KB in size after saving. It opens with everything intact.
I did say it was small but now it’s disk footprint is even smaller.
Anybody else noticed this?

I noticed this. My project (from CS6) went from 510MB to 114MB. It was after I did a “save as.”
Seems like two things happened:1. The interface got faster. This might be confirmation bias though.
2. It crashed a few times in the space of an hour but now seems to have stabilised. Not sure if related.This thing really is fast. Changing window layouts takes less than a second. No perceptible lag playing back h264. CS6 played h264 fine but I could tell when it was a long-GOP codec in the timeline, now I can’t.

Ya Matt I noticed that too.
I had a cs 6 project I opened in CC, saved it and
went from 20mb to 400k.Seems like Adobe fixed some of the bloat with the
project files. -
Yes in Premiere Pro CC me make smaller projects.
