    Premiere CC – MAC

Kona 3G (latest firmware and 10.4.5 driver and plugins from AJA)

When I play a timeline, sometimes there is no sound, but
the audio meters in premiere are moving.

If I stop then play it usually fixes itself.

Sometimes it’s static/popping. when it does that I have to reboot
to get it to go away.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

If I run final cut pro 7, there are no sound issues.

On a side note, unrendered sequences no longer have audio sync problem
when first played, which was a problem on CS 5.5 and CS 6. You’d have
to stop and restart playback or render it to keep it in sync.
    Not anymore 🙂

I actually had to reinstall 10.4.4 because I was getting a kernel panic when my computer started after installing 10.4.5. I booted into safe mode on my Mac, reinstalled 10.4.4 and it works fine now.

Well, as usual AJA support fixed me right up within 15 minutes
    of emailing them.

Here’s the proper settings in case anyone else needs it.
(I was a little confused by the install instructions)

    System preferences, Sound:

INPUT: Line in, Audio Line-in port

    OUTPUT: Internal speakers, Built-In

    Premiere Preferences:

    Audio Hardware:
    adobe desktop audio: built-in output
    buffer size: 1024
    output mapping: AJA Kona3G – 0, Slot 2

    Playback:
    Audio Device: AJA Kona3G – 0, Slot 2
    Video Device: AJA Kona3G – 0, Slot 2 (checked)
