Honestly I don’t think you can.
Any altering of the footage will likely make it look worse than
it actually does.Just be thankful you have it off tape now.

Not like a replicated DVD Video Disc.
one idea might be to use winzip to zip the files
individually and put a password on them.That way you could not extract them unless you knew
the password.Other than that I’m not sure.

I’ve used it before to convert PAL to NTSC and it was
truly amazing how perfect it turned out. -
Have the person that supplied the footage re-export the clips
as blackmagic .mov files. You will not be able to read them as DVDPROHD files.get the free codec here:

There is no other way for you to read DVCPRO-HD
on a pc that I am aware of. So the person that GAVE you the
footage needs to convert it for you. -
FCP installs the DVCPROHD codec.
You should see if you can get them exported as blackmagic codec
files though. Then view them with the free blackmagic codecs.that would work.

There is a free dvcpro50 codec from matrox.
do a google on matrox dvcpro50 codec.

yes you can do this with encoder 9.
what makes it WMV is the codec and HD the HD resolution.
It will need an .avi to compress from, as it will not
open a quicktime. -
I agree with you.
All of that would make the capture aspect of Vegas right up
there with the big boys.They should place it all in the advanced capture tab so it
doesn’t confuse the amateurs or others just getting started with editing. -
I have used ReelDVD on a daily basis for the last 3 years and concur.
I don’t know why the program has its default (after install) settings
for the hilights that way. it makes no sense at all.But its a great program!
I still cannot believe Sonic charges more for DVDit! than Reel.

The hardware encoders are usually much faster and realtime.
You can get the same quality out of an excellent software encoder
if the settings are right.The best setup possible with best quality would have to be
a Sonic Solutions SD-1000 card with SDI inputs.
