VLC can be odd at times…I wouldn’t trust it.
I just updated VLC on my mac today which solved a no sound issue
it had.try playing it with something else. quicktime on a mac or windows media player
if you’re on win7 or later. -
one other thing I’ve noticed as of the october 2013 update
though it does this when exporting or sending to queue:When you export the work area, if you need 2 seconds of black at
the end of your exported video, you have to add black video
other wise it will not be there on the exported video.previously you could just extend the work area for a 2 second
duration and that would include black in the exported file. -

right…so what good is a feature request Dennis?
Encore is a great app. I’ve learned it inside/out and know
every aspect of what it can and cannot do.Unfortunately, there are things it can do, but when building the
disc and checking it, it isn’t doing what it is supposed to.Just look at any of the examples mentioned at rivergatesoftware
and the specific things that blustreak tracer fixes. These fixes
shouldn’t be necessary but they are if you want your disc to work.I wouldn’t mind at all if Adobe didn’t want to make more features
available, I just wish all the existing features worked properly.If I had one wish, it would be for Adobe to consult with Larry Applegate
of rivergatesoftware to address the issues and repair them. -
There are still a number of flaws when doing blu-ray pop up menu
discs that were never addressed, I really wish they had ironed
all of that out before killing it. -
Thats probably worth the upgrade, you should upgrade the memory to 16gb or 24gb even better.

usually more cores has a bigger impact than clock speed in my opinion.

We’re definitely getting 4 of those new mac pro’s, but waiting
a year. Mainly since all our newer mac’s perform adequately at this moment.I would lean more towards the gpu as well, but pretty much
we’re going after the 5-6 thousand range machine.And I can’t wait to hear about various premiere performance
times with these new macs. Those AMD gpu cards should be blazing fast. -

That has been my experience as well.
I would only use it if I had to…in the case of having an ATI card.

I think OpenCL was adapted more than anything to make the ATI cards
work as GPU accelerators.
