Sending to AME queue
The last few times I’ve sent multiple exports to the AME queue, it’s produced this little headscratcher:
Let’s say I’ve got 7 in queue. The first two clips export just fine. The third clip begins to export, but the standby bar just twirls – indefinitely it seems, until I tell it to stop, (I left exports going on a Friday evening, and the bar was sitting there still twirling 40 hours later on Monday morning!)
So I go back to Premiere, send the non-exporting clip to the queue again and hit start. This time it runs through all the clips in the queue just fine, including the offending one.
As I say this has happened a few times now, and always on the third clip.
Has anyone else encountered this or knows what to do about it?

Lots of extra info needed to trouble shoot this.
Are you exporting to local raid? SAN? External FW drive?
Are you closing premiere after sending your exports to the queue?
What kind of export was it? QT, MPEG2, H.264?
What kind of box are your running? OSX or Windows?
Is the third clip anything special over the other clips?
Is the third clip corrupt by chance?AME can be finicky at times, but most of the time a simple reboot before exporting will clear up these issues. Especially if you are going to leave multiple things in a queue before leaving work for the weekend.

I’m on a Mac, working on an internally raided second drive. Premiere is left open while AME does its thing and I’m usually exporting to an H.264 preset -either Vimeo or Youtube.
It’s happened several times – always at the third clip so there’s nothing special about it, and they export at the second attempt. The issue also does not arise upon restarting the queue.
The strange thing is, neither AME nor Premiere have crashed, there’s just some kind of scripting error creeping in that’s preventing the third clip from mounting, but God knows what or why!

one other thing I’ve noticed as of the october 2013 update
though it does this when exporting or sending to queue:When you export the work area, if you need 2 seconds of black at
the end of your exported video, you have to add black video
other wise it will not be there on the exported video.previously you could just extend the work area for a 2 second
duration and that would include black in the exported file. -

Are you on CC or CS6?
Can you do a small test and queue some exports in AME, then save Premiere and close. Then start your AME queue and see if it stalls on the 3rd export now.
If you are on the latest build of CC, are you enabling the renderer in AME for Open CL, Mercury Playback or software only?
Do you have latest Cuda driver if you are using Cuda Card?
Are you adding multiple export presets to one exported sequence in AME or exporting multiple sequences to AME with single export presets?

Chris, yes I have come across that as well.

I have always made it standard practice to add black to any section of a sequence with no video but where you want black. Kind of like blacking a tape with 0 IRE video but then doing an insert edit with 7.5.
