Thanks guys. So, if I understand correctly, if I shoot & Edit in 60p, I should make an interlaced DVD. If I shoot & edit in 30p, I should do a Progressive DVD.

You can do Chapter Stops if you use Toast, and if you do the encoding in Compressor first. If you let Toast do the encoding, the chapter locations will not be accurate. Toast will do menus as well, but it seems that adding menus causes incompatibility problems with certain players.

Don’t be surprised if the Express slot disappears on the next version of the 17″ MBP as well. This was the only model that only received minor improvements, since they updated it just a short time ago.

No mention either, of Blu-Ray support in Snow Leopard. Is it possible for the next version of FCP to support Blu-Ray without the OS supporting it first?

It’s over, and, as usual, it’s all about the iPhone. Nothing on the ProApps. Oh well, maybe NAB 2010.

The most interesting thing so far is that the new 15″ MacBooks will drop the Express Card slot in favor of an SD Card slot. Only the 17″ retains the Express slot.

I would suggest contacting Sony, and please report back what you find. I did a wedding yesterday, and had to rely on ATW in a couple of instances. I have the speed settings on the highest number, and the camera just took it’s good time before reacting to changes in light temperature. Sometimes, it’s a minute or more before anything happens. Useless!

I have the same problem. The camera can take as long as 30 seconds to react to lighting changes.
