Actually, I tried what John suggested, and found the M2t file inside the BDMV folder. I then demuxed it in MPeg Streamclip and took the resulting m2v file into Compressor to make the DVD file.

Since there are programs, such as MPeg Streamclip that will convert a Video_TS folder back to a Quicktime file, I thought that something might exist that will do the same with a BDMV folder. I was under the impression that Blu-Ray players do not downconvert, so the SD analog outputs will only output signals from standard DVDs. Is that not correct?

My client has a short demo on a blu-ray disc. That’s all she has. No HD file, just a blu-ray disc. She wants to send this out on DVD, so that anyone can play it. It’s not an unusual request at all. I’m getting this more and more.

Well, my cards do have serial numbers after all. They are just very hard to see with my aged eyes. They are printed in very faint yellow ink, and you have to tilt the card just right, so the light catches the numbers. A magnifying glass also helps. I checked with Transcend, and the numbers are legit. No cause for panic.

It’s been my experience that in order for the Transfer program to properly join a clip that is spanning both cards, you must have both cards selected and transfer all the files on both cards simultaneously. Has that been the case for you as well?

This is very troubling. I purchased 5 of these through an Amazon.com retailer and none of them have serial numbers.

Huh? If a frame is composed of two fields, it’s not progressive…right?

In my case, using the Progressive setting yielded superior results with the exception of a couple of jittery DVE transitions. Those smooth out if I use the interlaced setting, but the image is not as crisp.
