Thanks Gary,
Heard back from AJA that I need to roll back to the 7.1 Kona driver since the Adobe plug ins aren’t ready for 7.5.

I just shot a corporate event using the 300 and everything looked great. I shot ballrooms, a concert, hotel interiors, night parties and outdoor golf. The camera performed well, colors looked great and was overwhelmingly better then my 200 and Sony Z1 in low light.
The viewfinder and LCD is pretty good, the camera was quiet, quick to respond and it felt comfortable on my shoulder for 4 days.
I don’t think it records any variable frame rates
I did shoot in DVCPROHD and didn’t get to try out the new codecs.I’ve shot with the 500 as well and was impressed with it also but I think the 300 makes a great corporate camera.
email me with any questions if you like.

So if you were working with 16×9 video, you both prefer to see it look a bit squished as you are designing?
The reason why I ask is I saw a demo where they made circle graphic with PAR off and it looked fine though the video was squeezed horizontally, but when PAR was turned on the video looked normal 16×9 but the new circle graphic was stretched horizontally.
However, when the circle was created with PAR on, it now looked fine and was of course squeezed like the rest of the image when PAR was turned off.
So I wasn’t sure if when creating text, it would have the same results. Thanks again,

well, really in general.
This particular project will be DV widescreen and the open is being done in afterfx.
I just know that if you were to create a shape, you would draw it with correction set to on, so it would look normal and too thin with it set off. Otherwise, if you draw it while off, it will look fine but stretched too wide when set to on.
So I wasn’t sure if text reacted the same way, where if i created it while set to off all would look good but be stretched too wide when viewed correctly.-Chris

October 1, 2009 at 8:35 pm in reply to: OT:Software used to present Apple’s recent eventI’m looking to edit something like this after the fact as I won’t have control over the laptops generating slides. So I was curious if this was Apple’s answer to something like Camtasia Studio.

Thanks guys. I’m just using a shure SM58 plus the levels and sound are great on the camera.
It also works when I’m in the capture tool. The odd thing is it does work when I record the VO, it just does not register any levels on the VO tool meter. Thanks again,

Thanks Walter but I don’t see an input slider for firewire

I will definitely call them again. I have to finish this project first which fortunately is going to DVD.
I was just curious if anyone else has experienced this and what their solution was. And to check if I was overlooking something.thanks
