Try that little trick. it’s a PITA, but it works…

As far as I understand it, he needs the second and third keyframe to be the same, so that the image doesn’t move at all between the keyframes. His issue has to do with the interpolation of the keyframes.”
Actually, I think it does… just did a test with 4 KF, A,B,C,D On initial playback, the jpg moved around between B and C, which were the same. did the little add/remove trick 1f on either side of the keyframes and it stays perfectly still between B and C. try it. 🙂

it’s a bug… there’s a workaround…

you may only need to add/delete keyframes once, not 3 times. This’ll make sense after you check out the video

There are also former Avid folks at Apple and Autodesk. And so the world go around.”
Yep… the Sr. product manager for FCP X previously worked with/at Avid and Media 100. I guess that explains the default ripple mode in X. 😉

[Tim Jones] “Installed onto a secondary drive, Cuda’s broken, iTunes complains about iDevices connected. Went back to 10.8.2 without digging further.”
Nvidia said they’ll have drivers up in the morning, iTunes working just fine on 2 different macs here. Also, and this is just anecdotal because it doesn’t affect me, supposedly it fixes the FCP X flash frame render bug folks have been complaining about…

A stock plug in? Or a 3rd party? I’d try getting rid of the plug in if you can…

[Alan Smith] “I get the idea of each editor having their own space on the SAN for their Events and Projects. That makes sense.
So there would be another directory for “shared” events?
Would each editor be able to see the other editors events or are they “hidden” from the other editors/workstations?”
Not exactly sure, as we use NAS not a SAN but… If you simply put all your shared media on a drive (without FCP event/project directories on it, just media) which all users can mount on their desktop, you can all import the same media (do not copy it to the users event folder) and work from that.

[Aindreas Gallagher] “that – in truth – would drive me a bit around the bend – I’ve just mucked around faking that up – there’s no way to force them back into alignment is there?
“Well, I usually cut DIA at the top of the timeline, so it sticks together, And if I’m chopping up MX I have a 5 min silent clip that I use as a… barrier i guess, to keep it all together at the bottom. It does require moving bits below it as needed, but once there they stay put. I can’t see why they can’t make ’em stick together… we’ll see.
