I’m not sure if this will do what you want, but add filler for a couple frames then use trim tool to slide it.

The key to breaking the 180 rule effectivly is to allow the audience to know where the camera is located, by having something in the shot that visually explains this (usually a wider shot). If you handle it creatively and well, the 180 rule becomes less of a rule and more of a guideline.

If I am doing something in a hurry and the budgeted time is very low, I’ll do graphics in title tool, or if I have a credit roll or extremely long crawl. Otherwise I much prefer the looks of a well done graphic, created by a graphic artist over my quick graphics created in title tool. They are just cleaner and better kerned and leaded than available in title tool.

Sorry,
Since I work for a Hotel/Casino and not a post production house. We have a department of two, Frank Otto and myself. Between us we share all duties involved in production, and engineering, only use one assistant for shoots, and that is usually an assistant electric. I don’t even have the pleasure of an assistant director, production assistants, continuity director, or masseuse. Just Frank, myself, and an assistant electric for lighting, and that is rare.Charlie

[Kathlyn Lindeboom] “I think Ron said he got them… he said something about a picture of Grinner with Kiki???? “
Speaking of Kiki, does anyone think Vegas could create a Kiki Wipe? You can never have too many sources of Kiki wipes, right?
Wish I had an opportunity to meet Gary, but I did enjoy what little time I had with Ed. Always enjoy seeing Ron and Kathlyn also.

I know of no standard, different people use their own little cript note codes, that only they understand. Find the person that took the notes and have them explain them. I can’t believe anyone would just hand you someone’s notes and ask you to decipher them.

Hey Grin,
That just made me think, yeh this is off topic but I had to say it somewhere. Since Kiki was demoeing the Newtek Tricaster. I didn’t think to ask them if it comes with the Kiki wipe.
Damn, that would have sold me, I’m sure. heheheheCharlie

[jeditdv] “It’s hard to remember all the settings from memory :-)”
Yep, I have that problem also.
Have had many ocassion when I was awakened with a question concerning how to set something up on a switcher, visualizing the switcher in my head and explaining step by step how to do it, is very rewarding when you hit all the steps. Many times you miss at least one.It feels real good to finally have that little thiing out of my way and being able to do simple crops.
Thanx for the help,

Just as a follow up,
My AVI’s are now playing in that player, the settings match perfectly coming in, the render still creates at 1440x900x32, even tho it sets the project at 1440x900x24. I still don’t understand why I cant get an output to match the input. (this was a render of teh exact same file that I am trying to match, it brought the file in at 1440x900x24, but rendered at 1440x900x32. Oh and using the same Indeo 1.5 that was used on the original. Isn’t this strange? But hey as long as it works, it just has my curiosity up now.
Thanx again

Mike,
Thank you for that information I wondered where you could find such a setting as match media. Didn’t know that existed.
Again thank you Very Much
