    Ed,
It was a pleasure to meet you over breakfast and I enjoyed our conversations. I hope the time you, Grinner, and I spent together was as pleasureful for you as it was for me.
I wanted you to know I tried the buttons on Pan/Crop, but the final thing that made it work was the source settings, My window was not big enough for me to see what the maintain and Stretch were. When I set both of them to “NO” problem solved. I feel so dumb.
But hey I am finally able to make it work.
    Thank you
    Charlie

Charlie, thanks for the tour yesterday. It was great seeing what you were working on. I did have a good time.

I have just tested your problem and you CAN do what you are desiring as follows:
    1) Turn off Lock Aspect (one of the buttons to the left)
    2) Turn off Size About Center (one of the buttons on the left)

I believe you have done those two. Now for #3:
    3) Change “Stretch to Fill Frame” to NO (default is yes)

Oops, just finished reading the rest. Maintain Aspect can be left at YES. It doesn’t make a difference. The key was changing the “Stretch to Fill Frame” setting to NO. Glad you got it working. It’s hard to remember all the settings from memory 🙂

[jeditdv] “It’s hard to remember all the settings from memory :-)”
Yep, I have that problem also.
Have had many ocassion when I was awakened with a question concerning how to set something up on a switcher, visualizing the switcher in my head and explaining step by step how to do it, is very rewarding when you hit all the steps. Many times you miss at least one.

It feels real good to finally have that little thiing out of my way and being able to do simple crops.
    Thanx for the help,
    Charlie
