Great job Jerry, I like your shooting. Can you tell us the story behind the production, like where it was shot, and how did you get permission to shoot in the bank?

Thanks Edward, I already have read and saved for reference those articles from when you published them. While I’m very familiar with authoring DVD-5’s with DVDA-3, I don’t see anything in your articles about where to select for DVD-9.

The DVD-9 issue in either Vegas or DVDA is my missing part of the puzzle.

    Thanks guys,

If I want to do a DVD-9, is this a pre-set choice in DVDA using a mpg2 from Vegas?

    I have Vegas 6 and DVDA 3.

I have a BR calc, but I was curious as to his settings used. I have tended to stay with a high (7,500,000) CBR, but that won’t fit on a 2 hour show. Would VBR be best for a 2 hr. show, if so then there are more variables.

Thats good news. Could you please post the render setings you used for that project length?

Thanks Ed. How good is the 2 hour SD picture when the 16:9 SD is shown on a 26″ to 50″ HDTV?

Without seeing the veg file, I’ll take a guess and say perhaps the keyframes don’t start and end at the beginning and end of your render area.

    Mary,

Very cool. It sounded fine on my 5.1 surround sound system. My favorite part (s) was when you let yourself in the door, and the various views out the window. One question; how did you make the video move horizontally in the beginning? I have never had to do this, or tried, but wondered how to do it.

I was refering to the “RCA” part of the mini plug as being my error.

“(Speaking of the center channel, is that usually doubled with the subwoofer channel on the sound card?)’
Yes, in my system it is.

“I don’t want to string dual sets of speaker cable and I’ll want to continue using this system to listen to encoded surround as well.”

When you have two different sources of “amplified” signal, I believe you better use an A/B speaker switch. You don’t want to feed an amplified signal to an input source in a second amp. But, if I’m wrong, I’m sure someone will correct me.
