What if you want to affect just one scene within a timeline? For example 25 clips out of 200 are from 2 different cameras and all have different node trees. After grading I’ve decided that that whole scene that consists of 25 clips needs to be colder and less saturated.

Creating groups seems to change all the clips in the group to have the same node tree. What’s the easiest way to accomplish this?

I have the same problem only I have clips that are 30fps in a 24fps sequence. Is there anything I could do besides putting those clips in a separate sequence? Much appreciated!

I just switched from Lion back to Snow Leopard and Resolve runs like a dream now. I will give the Lion boot drive another chance when Resolve 8.1 comes out (which will hopefully be October but they already blew by their first month-long deadline). For the moment I’m happy with the way things are working.

Just found my own solution. Had to remove the AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext from System/Library/Extensions. Thought that was just for Lion but I guess not. Now rendering full Res R3Ds with no errors! A miracle has been performed today.

Having trouble getting my setup to work in Snow Leopard. I just installed Snow Leopard on a fresh drive and did all the Mac OSX updates and am trying to get a GTX 470 to work properly. Everything is going fine except that the performance in Resolve is very poor and the CUDA-Z performance test shows that it’s being slowed way down for some reason. Host to Device Pinned is only at 1900 where it should be somewhere in the low to mid 5000’s. (talking about the Cuda test app here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/cuda-z/files/cuda-z/Beta/ )

I installed the Snow Leopard drivers for the Quadro 4000 for Mac first and then CUDA 4.0.50. Anything else I can try?

    Thanks!

  • So what is everyone doing in the meantime? Not running on Lion? I thought some folks were up and running on Lion without problems.

  • Does anyone have any ideas I could try? I installed Blackmagic Decklink v8.6 and then uninstalled it completely from the system and re-installed Resolve. This made it come out as version 7.9.5. CUDA driver 4.0.50 and GPU driver version 7.4.10 270.05.05f01

Should I try a different CUDA version or GPU driver? Uninstall it then reinstall Resolve? Any clues would be great because at the moment I can’t render a single full res R3D without errors and black frames. Even half debayer sometimes kills it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Very cool! Thanks for posting.

  • Single quad core. I suppose I could take a stick of Ram out but I don’t think the system likes having unbalanced ram. Any other ideas I could try?

I know external scopes would be best but is there a way to interpret the built-in scopes to achieve what they’re looking for? Does anyone know the relationship between mV and the 0-1023 scale of video? Sorry for the newb question.

Side note: Does anyone have experience with the BM Ultrascope? Is it the best value for the money?

    Thanks!
