Looks like “ZIP” compression worked for me.

    Ditto on this question.

I looked into the reel numbers but they matched. What didn’t match however was the timecode. For some reason as soon as it came into Resolve the starting timecode for those clips was changed to something far from correct (sometimes reset back to 1:00:00:00 other times random numbers like 1:01:50:08). I manually set the timecode in the media pool and it linked up.

Any idea what might cause timecode to change once it hits Resolve? I noticed the clip name was changed in FCP but that shouldn’t affect it.

I just looked at Modify > Timecode and don’t see any other options under Aux.

Tried that but FCP maintains a weird hybrid timecode for each clip rather than the original timecode.

I usually use RedlogFilm as well and probably will continue to do so. I just want access to REDcolor3. It would be great if DaVinci could roll that out soon as I do 75% Red work.

That debug line appears to have fixed it. Very strange. I could render Half Res but Full Res was a no go. It’s working for now. Thanks so much!

Ditto on the floating white points. Although I remember something about the last models having a method to maintain white as white no matter how much of it was on screen.

How much you want to re-calibrate it is probably up to the demands of the user. They seem like they’d be pretty reliable based on the specs…

I’d be really interested to know how the black levels turn out. I’m currently working off a calibrated Kuro monitor whose blacks are straight black. I heard somewhere that Pioneer’s magic was being integrated into Panasonic’s line so if that’s true then I’ll probably switch for the more advanced color space options and HD-SDI support. That and my living room TV at home is looking a little old…

Thanks for posting that Alexis! It’s helpful to know how you can use groups to change whole scenes if you’re careful with the nodes you use. I still say I want a Primary Out option similar to Color’s where you can do whatever you want in the node tree and just make one last adjustment at the end of each clip’s tree. It seems so simple I can hardly believe it’s not there. Please add this, BM!
