I was working with photoshop files of the same size. So the drop onto the layer worked perfectly.

I use an LG Flatron Wide 24″ with my 8 Core MacPro and love it. It’s as nice as Apple Display, for about 650.00 – 700.00. I use a Samsung 24″ from costco as my 2nd monitor to display tools and non color-essential things. It looks great as well, but not as cool as the LG. The samsung goes for under 400.00.

I’m using the online training. You pay 25.00 a month and ALL APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE! I’m doing After Effects too, but I like the simplicity of Motion. You can do a 250.00 a year thing too, or 350.00 if you want the project assets. I just build projects from scratch as they are not too complex. I have found that 2 people can be signed in at once on the same account. Not sure if they meant to have it that way, but it’s handy for an office to have one account and let different people train at the same time. Even without that, 25 bucks ain’t a lot. The DVDs would be cool, but they are expensive, and there is more than one to buy for one application – which sucks. That ends up being more than a year’s cost of online lessons. Also, I find that training off a DVD is tedious because you have to wait for the dvd to spin up after you have paused (which I do a lot). You can look at the free lessons they allow you to see below. When you pay all the lessons open up. They have at least 100 apps, and training in older versions too.

He’s a young guy that’s pretty funny sometimes, and a total Mac fanboy. He has 113 videos on why Mac is better than PC! Can’t blame him. Mac rules. (Even though I still edit audio on PC).

Hey Tom

Yes the drive is formatted as “Extended”. I have had the same thing happen using another drive too. I was exporting as “Quick Time Movie” and had no luck. I did just try exporting using “Quick Time Conversion” set to DV / NTSC and the movie came out as a 2.9 gig file. So I have a work around now, but I’d like to know why it doesn’t work while just exporting an uncompressed Quicktime Movie.

Could Quicktime have something to do with it?
