i use this plugin called soundsoap… its definatly not “great”. the problem au plugins, is that fcp doesnt support their gui’s so you have limited options inside fcp. ive been exporting to amadeaus and editing there… not fun. its alot easier to “dehiss” a one hour clip than many small clips. Good audio recording is one of the most neglected things when people are shooting. From now on i say “my services do not include fixing your audio in post.” Please do a good job recording.

they both run.. im doing it.. i was was very pro avid .. but i cant afford their hd hardware.. now its a pain to jump back and forth so im using fcp. to answer your question they both run… fcp/decklink axp/mojo

wow i could never justify spending 2 grand on a gbe switch. thats the same price as a fibre switch. what are the advantages of these over the cheap ones you can buy at bestbuy.. wow i sound ridiculous asking (but still serious)

i should have put a bit more effort into this before posting.. select every clip on timeline ctrl click a clip and select remove attribute… 🙂 sorry

do all of these options require fibre channel? how about going all gigabit like lanshare or avidshare. obviously fibre is faster, but what if that’s out of our budget. im interested in having 2 computers cutting dvcprohd at the same time. ive been looking at freenas at freenas.org via gb 4×500 raid 0 array

so anyway to decrease the size.. start deleting old cuts since ive duped the project? anything else?

no idea.. they xraid was at a place i freelance at.. got on the phone.. changed the blocksize to bigger files and that was it (dont really remember though). did not have to erase or re-stripe anything.
