What I tried so far. I re-installed the CS4 64 bit which took it back to version 11.0 from 11.02 thinking that would fix it – but NO. The crashing continues.
BUT!! When I opened-up my 32 bit CS4 Photoshop version 11.02 it works just fine! So this is a 64 bit app. problem.
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you everyone for your valuable time and information. I am not a working professional (I have no clients to answer to) I am just a 2D artist using the computer as an adjunct tool for my art and animation experiments. All this necessity of technology to continually upgrade and make things bigger – it scares me. So I think I will stick to my pen and paper which have not changed definition since the 1800’s. Thanks again.

Figured it out.
I am not used to how this After Effects import works, it imported my 3D psd as a separate comp. When I double-clicked on the comp everything was there and functioning. (I was dragging the imported files into a comp I had already made) It’s always the little ‘gotcha’s’ that baffle me.

The Background Layer must be selected!

LOL – well looks like I’m stumped again. I have a 106 KB Flash .FLV file to post but no where can I find instructions for posting it here. Is there an ultra secret hidden way to do this? Please share!

I just wanted to add that I’ve parented the camera motion to the night sky background and it doesn’t look at all correct when animated. I’m stumped!

I just got home and tried it – double clicked on the sequence and it worked fine. Thank you so much for the info. I’m very pleased with CS3 so far and very glad I got the upgrade.
