  • On that case I don’t think you can have it both ways. Either they keep spinning or they don’t spin at all. But I’d advise you to do it with layered animation, this way you can add lights/shadows and have a much more real/appealing look.

  • If you have three cameras, leave the middle one static… keyframe and hold the blending at 50%, you morph cam will be exactly in the second camera’s position, thus static too.

    if you have more cameras, just divide 100 by that many. You’ll figure out what % is the nth camera’s exact relative position.

  • You can simulate forward 1 frame and set that as your initial state. Its usually enough to avoid intersections.

  • You have to alt + click the stopwatch on the liquify’s position property. Then paste that bit of code replacing the name as needed.

    If you still don’t know how then search for help on how to add expressions.

  • Let me try to understand…your video footage is on AE? You want that to refract through a transparent cineware layer?

    If thats what you’re at, it won’t happen. C4d can’t see your background (botton most layer), or anything else on your composition.

    If you want raytraced refractions, everything needs to be inside the same renderer (c4d on that case).

    Trapcode has one effect that creates particles, and it’s called Particular.
    But I’m not sure that it’s whats on that video. Trapcode’s one doesn’t seem to shade like that.

    How do you know theres trapcode there? If its on the particles for a fact… Then it has to be particular.

  • If you mean make it look as if rolling on itself on the ground, you should draw an elliptcal mask thats close to the e shape. copy that mask path and paste it onto it’s anchor point (adjust all keyframes as needed to reposition to any “e” edge), then animate 1 rotation revolution to the same duration. After that is just X position and keyframe speed.

  • Your render time will be limited to you CPU clock speed.

    AFAIK the GPU within C4d will only influence on your viewport preview and menus.

    Overclocking your CPU will decrease render times.

    I’ve been successful using xreTime with an exported alembic sequency with subframes enabled… but as allways the more frames you’ve got to begin with the better. I ended up time reversing a cloth explosion to recreate it’s casing, and it was a pain to get it going until I’ve figure that out.

    There are several ways to reduce flickering and improve render times while using GI (adding lights, using buffers, changing solver)…you’ll have to know how to do that with any given engine. GI settings are seldom intuitive.

    I’ve tested several render engines for c4d, overall the render times are about the same. Theres no magic going on, nor there is an all around solution.
