[Jerry Smith] “So, in this case,”
You’ve never said which case! Where would you be displaying the video? Do you have any constraints? Is the lower size video displaying fine or does it shows artifacts? If it is, are you using 2-pass encoding?

September 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm in reply to: Blurred transparency effect after adding camera and lightsCould you post the entirety of your composition and timeline? It’s easier if we can see which renderer you’re using, if things have motion blur enabled and so on…

On your second Screenshow, where it says “custom view 1”. See and change to the other options, you’ll figure things out ;).

In your C4D screenshot, I can see you looking at the scene through the perspective view in the viewport. I’m not sure you’re looking with any camera.
But If you import your project to AE and hit the extract button, things should match. Is that what you’re doing? or are you creating another camera?Cassius Marques

The layer below (2) is trying to use the adjustment layer as a matte(you can’t have both). Change that (or put something in between) and you should see things as you’re expecting.

Well as I don’t see .webm as an option in the supported codecs of AME. I suggest you to just export to some intermediate format (like you did with .mov with alpha) and then convert with any application of your choice that does support it. This is not an AE question as the application doesn’t do what you want.
maybe search for this question in a ffmpeg forum? that codec library does almost anything to videos.

September 22, 2017 at 8:35 pm in reply to: What is the depth/volume effect used in this Kenzo commercial? If one would do that in C4d it becomes somewhat simple. Get a fractal image such as those. Add a high res plane, a displacer deformer that maps luminance to height. Use the same image as a difuse texture and you’re pretty much half way there. The rest are camera moves and some extra displacements/subdivides.

Just to make sure we’re on the same page, I just showed you a way to add effects on top of part of the objects by using world mattes. In my example, I’ve only cast light on the text part. I could have easily added the top Slab to the effect.
I’m certain that if you look at the file, you can create the matte for the slabs and duplicate and reapply the effects you need. It’s just really color correction, glows and shines. well composited though.

Thats a lot easier to do in a 3d application that gives you access to separate mattes and boolean operations.
That said, you can still do it in e3d. I’m adding a file with what I came up in 20mins. It should give you a jump start. (needs improving, obviously).

September 19, 2017 at 12:17 pm in reply to: Trapcode rendering across pre split compositions…[Ciji James] “…the raster plug on. But what I am getting is the same camera for the simulations.”
Thats exactly what the Collapse transformation/continuously rasterize checkbox does. If you’re checking it in a composition, you’ll get the camera thats active in your main comp. That said, If you’re turning it on expecting it will increase the resolution (re-raster) of a solid that you used a particle plugin. It won’t work.
If you’re scalling pre comps, its a yes for vectors (if also checked on), no for cc particle world.
