Hey Simon, I’m doing some tests with Totalcode running through AME cs6. Using the same preset I’ve used before and I’m getting different results in the outputed file.

My current broadcast specs are XDCAM IMX. My problem lies within the audio. I’m going for 4 channels 24bits.
With the previous version I had left, right, left, right.
With totalcode I get left, right, blank, blank.

    Can you shed some light?

You’re right…but I did tried before posting. odd enough it only changes if you increase it’s X and Y resolution. I tripled only the Y resolution when I advised him to do it. And it stayed the same. Sorry.

So since he only wants to bring it down to lower third position, I guess that will work.

No John, the flare won’t be any larger, no scale will be required. Just repositioning.

Do you usually go for the drop down menus for effects? because mine are already docked to the UI as the effects pannel, and the ones I use constantly are inside a specific folder. Double clicking them is a quick way of applying IMO.

you can still assign any scripts(and effects to that extent) to a shortcut. But I honestly don’t see how remembering 20 more shortcuts would be faster then quickly typing 2 letters to solo out some effect in the search field.

It’s not a matter of scale…You’ll be drawing the same flare, on a bigger “piece of paper”.

Aplly your flare to a solid, make this solid 3x your composition’s resolution.

Now you can move as desired without seeing any crop.

Its probably just behind your camera…If you at least had shown the cameras position in that video, we could have told you for sure.

Can you explain why would you want to do this? I mean, even if you find something that does auto trace for every frame on your comp…the created masks would have no relation with one another. So any effects that need a directly input from an specific mask won’t work either.

  • Is you reference object a solid that came from your C4D exported scene? Is this object steady or does it goes off just like element?

If a solid with the same attributes is perfectly lined in place it’s possibly a fault within element, if not it’s probably a camera missmatch between AE and C4d… check your camera properties (FOV, and so on).
