I’m not entirely sure, but I remember seeing an object distribution mode. I guess you can quickly model a sphere and delete the over sea vertices. I never tried, so keep that in mind.

Did you tried the selective color effect? It has some nice controls.

when you select the effect puppet tool it will display a mesh upon your layer’s alpha…make sure there’s nothing clipping out (that’s problem what’s happening there)
Adjust the expansion as needed (you have to reanimate it though).

you can, but in between values may also give undesired effects…you can also try to render it out with doubled resolution and have AE scale it back to 50% thus removing some of the aliasing.
Just turn everything you don’t need off, lights and such to speed up the rendering. It works too, I’ve done both…IMO no depth is perfect when done quickly in post.

I’m currently rendering so I can’t check if things are working as they should but what I think Roland meant is that the effect will pin to left of your composition…are you applying it to a text layer? It’s boundaries will be your composition’s.

You’re saying that no shortcuts get updated or just some specific ones? Because I’m sure mine works (I have about 10 remaped)… Are you using the latest version?
You had the “allow scripts to write to files and access network” option checked right?

Yes I did, I’ve actually tried every permutation possible…
The file comes out with 4 audio channels…but the third and fourth are muted instead of having the 1 and 2 mirroed.
