    Hi

I’m trying to distribute push pins onto a globe using Element 3D, which I’ve mostly been successful with by selecting sphere for the replicator shape, but I want to randomise their positions as some are on the sea, when I need them on land.

Is there some way of controlling the distribution, perhaps by using a luma matte or something so the pins can be placed where I want them without having to manually place all individually?

I’m not entirely sure, but I remember seeing an object distribution mode. I guess you can quickly model a sphere and delete the over sea vertices. I never tried, so keep that in mind.

Any luck with this? I’m trying to do something similar now and would be great to use a 3d marker for a change.

Though I’d be attempting to mark specific spots instead of random ones.
