This .veg files + [2012-07-13_09-43-21_PM] is an auto-save option provided by the plugin “Timeline Tools for Sony Vegas Pro”.
This is a free plugin that has many features and I hadn’t realized it was one of them working together my workflow.

The add [2012-07-13_09-43-21_PM] sounds to me as a security copy, but it is not clear indeed.

About the comment “Adobe Audition/Soundbooth has a good filter that can reduce steady background hiss/humm/noise”, does anyone know if SoundForge provide similar feature?

July 13, 2012 at 2:01 pm in reply to: Adding “Media FX” or “Event FX”… Would have any specific application to each one? Thanks for tips about Sony Stabilization and Mercalli.
In cases as Sony Stabilization, which can be applied just to MediaFX, how could I know where there is a FX applied? I mean, when applying EventFx there is a green mark on the event. But in a big project, since MediaFX don’t provide such mark, how could I maintain tracking on all MediaFX applied in my project?
Thanks!!!

I installed Vegas 10 and I am proceeding with some tests.
Besides the new GPU promises, I realized that the interfaces of media generator, video fx and transitions doesn’t have the “search” feature in version 10.
Would it be expected any other noticeable differences between versions 10 and 11?
After this thread and many opinions, I am quite sure to go with version 10…
Thanks again,

Hi Nigel,
Thanks for answering.
About Vegas 10 you mentioned “OFX issues”. I am learning Vegas and I don’t know what is OFX yet. Actually, I have searched in the Vegas manual about OFX and I couldn’t find nothing. Could you give me a brief idea what is this? Would be other word/term in the manual I could look for?
Best,

July 12, 2012 at 8:54 pm in reply to: Undesirable “slow motion” when playing video in Boris Red5 timeline. Any workaround?Hi again Peter,
Actually, I realized there is a yellow/orange bar that is loading while the first play is in action. Is there any command that load it directly, without to be needed press play?
After the bar is loaded, even the simple play (button or space bar) run the video normal.
Without this orange bar loaded, even the “preview to RAM” (crtl+0) plays video slower. After the bar is loaded, the “preview to RAM” plays the the video faster than normal. Is it expected?
I will take a weekend to read the Boris user guide to get more familiarity with interface and commands…
Many thanks for your overall support. I am enjoying Boris Red. It is a great tool really !
