    oh and one more thing
occasionally, when i hit play on my timeline, it will play for about 2 sec, then freeze and the tapedeck (firewirely connected) will show the frame its on. the weird part is that external video is set to off, and video output to none.

ya, i got that far, but it tells me
“capture preset must have a video or audio digitalizer set to capture. Please change to desired preset in the Audio/Video settings”

i captured uncompressed not long ago, but now it gives me this?

what if the video was moving, and it blend the fields? any way to fix that? its not blurry, i think ill just have to find a long way to do it such as from tape deck through my monitor to kona lh. or something like that because my monitor displays it perfectly.
    thanks for the tip though

January 7, 2007 at 11:28 pm in reply to: highest quality downconvert?

i dont really have the room for dvcpro hd, so for now im importing in hdv.
maybe for a finished product, i could print to tape hdv, then reimport in dvcpro hd, then downconvert lastly to sd.

i also dont think i can handle uncompressed anything. ill try that out though.
