when im previewing hdv footage, my processor gets up to the 60’s. i dont have an antivirus program. i dont have any fx on the clips either. i know how to build dynamic ram preview, but shouldnt it load the clips to ram automatically? i think thats kinda wierd.

i did easy setup dvcprohd, the went to capture window, capute settings tab, but there is no hdv anything. there is sdv, but that doesmt work

ya, when i hit log and capture, it give me an error message…
to capture hdv soure material both the capture and device control presents must be configured for hdv… -
i tried that, and it didnt work.

well, i sort of figured it out. i can use the deck as an uncontrollable device, but i though i woulf be able to control the deck with final cut? also, im still getting no audio, i’ll test the output of my matchbox.

i should do a test to see how importing hdv, the exporting for dvd with compressor looks. it will probably be the best option, but the reason i downconverted on import is beause i didnt have a capture card to output to a monitor. ill post something about the test soon.
ps. i bought a kona lh card today. =)
