Thanks sir for your reply. Will give it a shot on my own first, (discovering is fun) and if no success, I’ll not be the least embarrased to come back and ask.

    Tip-of-the-hat.

It does work. Selecting – then deleting text takes out any applied formatting (styles etc… and animations too so it’s possible then to select and apply any new animation I choose.

This works out great. Many thanks.

    Thanks for your response Matt

So, use the pose controls to position my text as square as possible,(relative to X-Y) save the scene – then delete / replace the text with new text for a title when I want one?

    I’ll give it a shot.

    Ok

Figured out that I need four layers and will have to convert my png’s to psd’s as the ‘Photoshop Drawing’ layer is the (at least AFAICT) only way to get a still image on a new layer.

Does this look like I’m getting anywhere or am I missing something.

    Thanks again for the help.

    Hi Bob.

A few more facts I’ve picked up and a link I have found.

    First:
They want 4 DvD players for 4 different and independent video streams. This way they can order up whatever they want for new material from their chosen production house.

    Then:
An audio switcher to turn off sound on any or all players.

Ok. Audio is no prob and here is something I think may work.

Even with conversion to US 110V power, it’s cheaper than lots I have seen in my searching.

    Your thoughts?

    Uh-oh
I have to also understand and prepare the layers as I have only the one-dimentional drawings and haven’t done this before either. ()

    Got a road sign?

    Thanks

I’ll have a look and a go at this after my 2nd cup.

Are there any books / videos on the very basic mechanics of AE? I need to invest in my future.

    Hey all

Many thank you’s for these links.
I got one of those ‘can’t get it sorted. can’t find answers problems with Flash not wanting to run in my browsers’ at the moment however and the Flash-propelled sites will have to wait a bit.

Outside of that, am seeing some great stuff and a good place to start.

    You’ve all been very helpful.
