    Large Thank You’s Adam.

That’s extreme well done and will have to figure out how you did it for anything like it in the future. Still walking my way through the myriad of techniques and options / choices in this app that is taking control over all of my free time.

    Be well sir!

A big Thank You to Brian Jones for all the help.

I not only found all I needed to make nice miters but a whole lot more that I’m happy I did due diligence to find and work through.
    Be well

    Hello Brian

I noticed that the 45° angle can actually be negated if one moves the mouse up or down at the end point edge. The degree of angle changes and is no longer a true one.

I have parked the point at what I thought was the right angle, only to find that it’s off. I assume there is no ‘snap’ function – or haven’t yet discovered it. Is that what the Constrain check box is for? (Doesn’t seem to work for me so far)

    Thanks for helping!

I like it when I get to figure out my own problems.

The answers to my first Q are:
Loop Cut – Bridge the sections on the opposite side – Bridge the spaces between the outsides of the walls (if needed) Just need to remember to not introduce ngons by only bridging right-angle points. ;8 )

Just need some help with the miter cut question now

    B.

  • Hi Brian
S’cuse my improper thinking. I was apparently supposed to say a 90° elbow and ‘flutes’ instead of fillets.

I won’t get that close with a cam for the most part but do want to understand all the technical aspects that I can. In that regard and if needed, knowing how to make the fluted end look like it’s supposed to is another thing to tackle.

On my own I figured out cylinders without caps and tried a ‘Bend’ deformer and can almost get what I’m looking for but your suggestions will probably get me a whole lot closer to realism. I’ll give them a go.

    Many thanks for the reply.

    Thanks Michael
I’ll look into this today. I actually saw this tut some time back but it didn’t come to mind.

  • I have an on-board Realtek sound card with no problem hearing sound in AE using the default WDM Sound. I did have though until I unchecked Digital Out to Optical (S/PDIF) because Realtek (at least on my user interface) only allows me one or the other – but not both. You’ll find that in the settings for Digital Out in the Realtek interface. You also should choose 44.1 khz out as your default sampling rate.

Use only WDM Sound, make sure you can hear audio when using Media Player, then open a comp with audio and see if that buys you anything.

I wish to thank all of you for great suggestions.

My budget for new tools is non-existent atm and the effort is a donation for a worthy cause so I’ll have to see what I can do with Dave’s recommendations.

Any suggestions for tutorial’s or info sheets on Water World would help. I must figure out how to get a water color than the stock gray-ish color and so far haven’t seen where or how to control the color in the UI for that effect.

    Have a great weekend!
