May 16, 2014 at 5:10 pm in reply to: Adobe ID Not Valid Anymore???

It hasn’t been restored for us. Every time I try to sign in the Creative Cloud app says “You have been signed out” and says “please sign in to continue”. Try again and same result.

Anyone else having this issue, or with a solution?

    Thanks

I Convert the 5D native files to ProRes HQ (or CF 422 if you have Cineform NeoScene). The files are much larger but play and edit beautifully in Final Cut. This also gives you HD monitoring from Blackmagic, AJA , or Matrox hardware.

January 14, 2009 at 3:54 pm in reply to: Encore CS4 won’t allow Save As

I did find a solution. It is my habit when doing a “save-as” version of a project, to click on the existing name and then type in a change, i.e. 02, 03 or the date. Encore didn’t like that method at all. When I completely type in a new name it accepts it. I have no idea why this works but it does for me. Hope it helps.

I have the Ewa-Marine for my HVX200 and am very pleased with it. Also have an Equinox housing for my DVX100.
I think Chris Clephane’s observations are right on.

Try CoreMelts Fastblur XY plugin (works with Noise Industries FxFactory).

February 1, 2008 at 5:21 pm in reply to: BROKE THE 25GB LIMIT!

    Hi John,

I really appreciate all the detail, it helps very much.
We have also used separate mpgs for each segment and then one big one for play all. Where I’m having difficulty is in a project with 30 timelines and 35 menus. The reason for so many menus is that after a segment/timeline plays it end jumps to a still (menu) of the product that allows a viewer to study and then choose to return to the the category menu or the main menu. The SD version created in DVDSP works perfectly. Encore does not like this Blu-ray version. I am going to test this in a smaller version to see if I can discover where the limit is.

    Thanks again,
    Bud

Thanks for posting this.Great to hear of your success.

I have had problems with mutiple timelines and menus for Blu-ray in Encore on Windows.
How many timelines/menus, etc. do you have on the project you mentioned?
    Thanks.

  • Brian Murphy, the regional manager for Sonic explained it to me this way –
Encore (and all other desktop authoring tools) is not a spec specific tool. It is an abstraction layer tool and writes “bloated” code. He said only Blu-Ray spec specific tools (Scenarist) can create a project for replication at this time.
I have succesfully authored blu-ray discs with one menu and 30 minutes of video and burned to BD-R or RE. Encore crashes when I try to add 30 timelines, menus, etc. Haven’t found any workaround yet.

After having problems with an Encore blu-ray project, I contacted Brian Murphy, regional manager for Sonic. He was extremely helpful (and patient) even though I don’t have any of his products. He helped me understand why I was having problems (ram cache/windows) and what my work around options are. Maybe he can help you.
