Appreciate the nesting tip. I’ll give that a shot when I have a chance. Ugh…definitely sounds like a cludgy way to handle this scenario. I’ll be sending in my feature request form soon. I used to have to do this all the time but yesterday was the first time I needed to since switching to Premiere a couple years ago.
Duke, appreciate the response, but I think Alex’s advice is the way to go for this particular situation.

I just started having the exact same issue on my setup. I thought initially that it was some setting that I accidentally changed. It’s truly an really annoying bug. My setup is the latest 2014 Premiere CC running on 10.10.3.

I shoot with a gopro mounted on my Cessna Cardinal often. You shot 4K so you can resize in 1080 and maybe crop out the plane…of course you may want to see the plane in the shot…if that’s the case, you either have to stabilize for the horizon or the plane, obviously.
I would also recommend using Optics Compensation in AE or lens distortion removal in Premiere to fix the wide angle.
One more thing, I’ve found the Mercalli Pro typically has better image stabilization results than using the built in After Effects tool.

And a follow up question….
Would each of these workstations have a single fibre channel run that connects them to the switcher? Or are there two fiber channel runs?
Again…just trying to figure out how much cable/what kind of cable to get for this.
thanks.

I dont have the upgrade yet, but from your experience so far, do you think a Dual 2.5 g5 with blackmagic HD pro is going to drop frames capturing as pro-res?

April 9, 2007 at 6:52 pm in reply to: Average Salaries for After Effects, HD DVD and Blu-ray authoringBeen there five years with hardly a raise? “Slightly” over minimum wage? I’d say it’s time for a raise or time for a new job. As far as how much….AE artists can make $800/day in some markets…my point being the salary range can vary widely. It certainly sounds like you deserve more than what you are getting.
Have you not asked for a raise this entire time? If they say “no” or “times are tight. Maybe in six months” it’s time to leave….b/c they do not respect you and value your contribution to the company.
Good luck.

April 3, 2007 at 5:23 pm in reply to: URGENT – random green lines and dots when renderingNever seen that issue with actual video files….only stills. Yes…the 8 bit option isn’t optimal…it was a suggestion for a quick fix.

April 2, 2007 at 3:21 pm in reply to: URGENT – random green lines and dots when renderingI’ve had similar very annoying issues and have raised the issue serveral times. I really hope FCP 6 fixes this. I’m assuming you are rendering PSD files when you get this? Re-rendering doesnt always do the trick for me. Several solutions that I have come up with….save still as tif’s. Of course, this doesnt work when you want a layered PSD file. Another option is to switch rendering on the timeline from 10 bit to 8 bit. That should cure your problems.

November 15, 2006 at 6:06 pm in reply to: HD downconvert to monitor: video wont play properlyI actually figured it out two days ago with the help of Kristian Lam. What I had to do was create a new project and use the easy settings for DVC Pro 1080i60, match the video playback to that and THEN paste the old project (which was handed off to me from someone else) into the newly created one. Once I did that, it worked like a charm.
