My work around, which may be incorrect, is that after I have set up the multicam time line, I go back and copy the audio I want to use and paste it into the multicam line. Then I lock it up and roll. It will add a new soundtrack as you edit. You can choose not to use it by shutting it off when you completed the edit.

June 22, 2013 at 4:06 am in reply to: What may be the “Correct” way to compile time lines from various different jobs complete with the effects? At the risk of sounding ignorant, what is a flattened file?
Each spot is between 1-1:30 minutes and I want to compile them on one timeline. There may be 20 different timelines to put together…
Do I flatten them with a rolling pin?
My apology for not knowing what you meant.

April 5, 2013 at 8:38 pm in reply to: Creating chapter buttons in encore seems to be extremely difficult!Bill, thank you for your reply. I have opened a pre built layout in Encore and i can see somewhat how it may work.
My problem is I do not understand how to enter the right settings to make it work properly…
I have 12 chapters and the markers are on the timeline… I do not need picons, thumbnails, photo buttons… I just need to give each button a title…
I spend some additional hours but I feel that all I will accomplish is wasting more time…
I know I am not stupid but this program is making me feel that way.
Perhaps I need a walk through or a set of directions that actually work.
Thanks again,
ABK
