    Dave

These are files of the video of a performance that I am sending to the artist. When I realized how huge they were, I began looking for a way to compress them. Now, thanks to the Forum, I realize that all I needed to do is what I always do when I am moving large files for review and approval. I transcode them to H.264. Duh!

    Thanks Greg

This is useful. I think I was not very clear in my post. What I want to be able to do is open the layers of a pre-comp within the timeline of the master comp. I often would like to do this to coordinate timing and transitions to the other components in the master comp.

    thanks

Thanks Dave. I thought it was a bit strange. I’m meeting with the TD tomorrow, so that may clarify things.

Curious, but economic psychology suggests that folks value what they pay for and find more value at higher price-points. So you might think–and again depending on your experience and skill–$45-50/hr

    good luck

Thanks Walter. That did the trick. And please pardon my confusion, yes I’ve got it straight now.

    Tim

Well I hadn’t thought about using them that way. But, yes it seems to work fine. And I can pull the markers to the end of the comp to indicate that they are general comments and not timeline specific ones.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Paul

Well if the fix does occur to you, do let me know.

Ya’ I understand. I sometimes find myself in the basement (the equivalent of your garage) sitting in front of the Big Rig for 45 minutes editing, when I suddenly realize that the reason I came down stairs was to put the laundry in the dryer.

    So it goes
