  • Adding notes to a comp

Posted by Bruce Gaber on January 14, 2017 at 8:16 pm

Anybody know of an add-on for adding extensive notes to a comp? I’d really like to be able to annotate my work in some detail as I go along. This so that when I come back to the project two years later I don’t look at it and say “cool effect, how heck did I do it?”

    thanks

You probably already thought of this, but markers don’t suffice?

Well I hadn’t thought about using them that way. But, yes it seems to work fine. And I can pull the markers to the end of the comp to indicate that they are general comments and not timeline specific ones.

    Thank you very much.

what about the timeline’s comment’s column?

    and there’s always a simple text layer…

Some good ideas already posted, but you could also use the text tool and just make them guide layers so they don’t export out.

This is my favorite approach – especially for sharing with other artists.
