no way…i reformatted the drive, nothing on it, no layers no effects…but i can play video fine from a 40gb firewire drive…i’m not sure how to test/replace/reseat/fix/ the internal hard drive
try to step in to the top layer (red arrow and double click the clip) and put the color effect on the inside layer…this should effect only the clip on that layer as opposed to all that is underneath
When you are in Avid Title Tool, there is a small white box on the bottom of the window in which you can type in the number of the font size…you should always make the text as large as title safety will allow and then make it smaller in Avid using the 3D warp tool…good luck

I did not install or uninstall anything…googling the error message has led me to believe that it is either a bad firewire cable or a driver problem…i am going to uninstall the driver tonight and pray

Bill,
I have captured video at 1:1 in the past
The error message happens regardless of resolution, The big thing is this system worked fine…i moved, broke down the box and set it back up and i have these drive problems…My next step is to uninstall the driver for the drive

Yes, I finally figured out last night that I had my Mode settings on 16 bit, changing it to 8 bit solved the problem. You live and You Learn. Thanks for your help
