Do you have the latest drivers for the vid card? I’ve got some 9600s on a couple of machines and can view on a second monitor with no problem.

How many audio tracks are you trying to record? Are you trying to record the video and sound live? Have you checked the audio setups in Preferences? particularly the ASIO settings

You are not going to get much help unless you tell people what kind of system you are using and its specs
