how about a Sweep? Growth can be controlled from the end and the number of segments can be changed (by changing the Intermediate Points in the spine being swept along)

judging from your description a 3D bone (possibly invisible) covered with your 2D bones via a cloner in Object mode for a start

Diffuse (or possibly Color in a renderer that doesn’t use Diffuse in the same way – or at all)
    Normal
    Specular
    Reflection (probably)
    Opacity (inverse of Transparency)

you can bake the cloth motion using Timeline/Functions/Bake Objects… to bake it as PLA but that can only be saved to Alembic or FBX (a far as I know) not OBJ. I don’t have Element and don’t know what it will do but maybe a PLA animation from C4D direct would work?

it must depend on the structure we’d have to see the file

Not that I know of (but not an expert), the rotate tool will work with the animation mode but it rotates the animation path not the object, as far as I know. I only played with one Mixamo (pre-Adobe). I understand from a post by Steve that there are a couple different formats but if it’s like the one I have you can maybe do what you want by grouping the rig parts hierarchy and the mesh hierarchy under a single null and rotate that null (with the Model tool).

you could select the edges and use Hide Selected to hide them but the selection process isn’t automated…. there was a plugin called (I think) Flush Select which had some angle settings but I don’t remember if it worked with edges (and if it would work with R19 etc)

  • I can’t test right now but I would be trying to randomize the seed of the noise, if I understand correctly.
