[Arndt von Koenigsmarck] “Just be warned that I haven’t tested this for newer C4D versions. Should still work fine though.”

It works in 9.102. Thanks Arndt

There are a number of plugins. I like Axis Center but there are a number. Just do a search here – https://www.c4dplugs.com/

I don’t remember if 8’s basic particles were different but in 9 Rotation is just an angle (the degrees of rotation/second) if it’s zero there is no rotation… 8 isn’t like that?

September 6, 2005 at 10:01 pm in reply to: Grouping Splines???

I think in 7 it was: make the splines editable, drop them in a null, do a Functions/Connect and drop the resulting spline into your Extrude.

It’s the drop them in a null part I am unsure of, I think that was the v7 way (it’s been a while). In 8 and 9 you just select both the splines in the OM and do a Functions/Connect. In 7 since you can’t select more than one thing at a time I believe the null was the solution…

    In the Material Editor
-right-click on the material you want delete
    -choose Select texture tags/Objects

Click the Object Editor _menu_ (don’t click the OE window background or you loose the selections you just made)
    -hit delete.

Here is an example. The tassel (such as it is) was made using HairDepartment and a disk. Squashed a bit after. ClothHilde applied to the ‘strands’. Just go into the Cloth tag’s Dresser tab and click Relax. The strands could use a bit more subdivision or a clothNurb maybe but it’s just an example.

maybe create the tassel with HairDepartmentME then apply clothHilde to droop it.

If you use splines and a Sweep for the strands you could project the splines onto the roof. Clothhilde would be good too (maybe ideal) if you have it.

August 25, 2005 at 1:32 am in reply to: SWEEP NURBS – Editable? (clip included)

    1. Yes, there are hidden selection on any nurb with caps C1, and C2 for the caps and R1 and R2 for the fillets (roundings). Just put the material you want on the face on the Sweep and type C1 or C2 (whichever is right) in the material tags Selection box.

    2. point the camera at the face? You could move a null along the spline (using align to spline) you are sweeping along (at the same speed as the sweep is growing) and align the camera to that.
