  • Particle rotation – too fast, as always

    Hi there,

I may be missing something here, but when I create a particle emitter (the old way, not TP), and turn the rotation on, the particles always rotate way too fast. Is there a way of defining the speed of rotation without altering the velocity of the emitted particles?

Can this be controlled in TP? I am still using v8.02, and am totally unversed in TP with the usual deadline looming, although I intend to upgrade and learn their basic use if I get some downtime this winter.

    Thanks!

I don’t remember if 8’s basic particles were different but in 9 Rotation is just an angle (the degrees of rotation/second) if it’s zero there is no rotation… 8 isn’t like that?

Ahhhh, that’s speed of rotation then, not how far it rotates.

All these years I’ve never realised that – doh!

    Cheers Brian!
