You can find an overview of script installation and use here:
https://aescripts.com/knowledgebase/index/view/faq/how-to-install-and-run-scripts/
If a script is installed in the Scripts folder it is accessed from the menu File > Scripts.
Scripts installed in the ScriptUI Panel folder are accessed from the Window menu.

Its a remarkable darkly evocative piece that stands out amongst what glibly passes for motion design these days.
I’m very interested in the details of how Mettle was used in the production. Congratulations to all the artists involved.

I’ve had many of those forehead slapping moments myself over the years.
Here’s the entry from the After Effects Reference:
“If transformations are not collapsed, a nested composition that contains 3D layers is rendered as a 2D image of the 3D arrangement, using the default composition camera. This rendering prevents the nested composition from intersecting with 3D layers, casting shadows on 3D layers, and receiving shadows from 3D layers in the containing composition. The nested composition is also not controlled by the cameras and lights of the containing composition.”

[Spencer Carpenter] “[Brian Charles] “Does the vector layer in the nested Comp have 3D enabled?”
No but I can’t see why it would need to be as it’s just a 2d layered AI file.”
Enable it in the nested Comp.

[Spencer Carpenter] “The problem is when I collapse transformations I can’t use the vector comp/layer in 3d space.”
In what way does Collapsing Transformations on the vector layer prevent you from using the it in 3D space?
Is CT invoked on both the vector layer and the nested Comp containing the vector?
Does the vector layer in the nested Comp have 3D enabled?

I note from the screen captures that the QT32 Server isn’t responding, there’s a long thread on this in the Adobe forum:

[Todd Kopriva] “nigh unanimous as opposed to merely a clear majority”
How representative is the sample? What level/type of use and experience does it represent? What are their real expectations? Are they currently using workstations or basic laptops? What sort of cpu, disk, gpu and ram would be required for these proposed speed gains?
I’d be concerned that the poll is not an accurate representation of the market. I’m also concerned that the question is freighted to evoke a particular response. As a few have asked, what are the alternatives to more speed?
I’m rendering on a 12 core / 24 thread, 64GB machine, make MP work better and I’d be pleased but most of my renders are done in under 30 minutes, and many are done in 3 or 4 minutes. Speed isn’t the only criteria I use to evaluate software. Stability, feature set, integration with other (and competing) applications, ease of use, cost, etc are factors that I would weigh before answering the question.
